Muscular fender flares, massive front air dams and giant 23-inch wheels define the new BRABUS Widestar program for the Mercedes-Benz GL SUV. The GL Widestar's width is broadened 2" by the front and rear fender flares, bridged by side skirts with floor illumination. The aerodynamic front bumper supplies cool air to the radiators and front brakes; it features auxiliary high beams and fog lights. The rear of the WIDESTAR is fashioned with a roof spoiler, rear bumper and diffuser with integrated cut-outs for the quad BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust. All BRABUS body components are manufactured from Pur-R-Rim. Forged multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock E wheels in 11x23" were designed for the increased width of the Widestar and perform in tandem with BRABUS' powerful 12-piston brake system and lowering module for the standard ABS suspension. For the GL 450 and GL 500 models, BRABUS offers its 456hp 6.1 displacement engine that achieves a top speed of 158mph, reaching 0-62mph in 6.0 seconds. The BRABUS interior product line-up includes an ergonomic sport steering wheel, Mastik and Alcantara leathers, stainless steel door sill plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, aluminum foot pedals and door-lock pins.
